Father Christmas Visit

Santa is coming to Duloe and he's driving a Massey Ferguson!
The children loved their surprise visit this morning and sang Christmas Calypso to help him on his journey.

Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Dinner

The children all looked wonderful in their Christmas jumpers today. Thanks to your generous donations we have raised £51 for Save the Children.
Christmas dinner was enjoyed by all, we had crackers and squash donated by the PTFA and Christmas music to sing and dance along to. Thank you to Mrs Crago and her elf for cooking us another lovely Christmas dinner.

Class 3 - The Box Visit

Class 3 loved their visit to The Box on Thursday. We took part in a workshop on World War II where they looked at artefacts from that time and took part in air raid drills. In the afternoon, we explored the other exhibits and braved the rain to see Charles Church, which was bombed in 1941 during the Plymouth Blitz and has now been dedicated as a memorial for the 1,200 civilian deaths during air raids.

Football Stars

Congratulations to our super team of footballers from Year 5 and Year 6 who visited Callywith last week to take on teams from across the Bridge Schools trust. As always, the represented the school magnificiently and were fantastic sports. Well done.

Truro Cathedral Christmas Card Competition

A huge well done to our trio of very talented artists whose Christmas card designs have been chosen by the Archdeacon of Bodmin as the official diocese design for this year. Every child in the school entered the competition and once again we were blown away by the children's creativity and artistic talent.

Duloe and Trenode United

On Wednesday, students from Trenode Primary Academy joined Class 3 for an afternoon of football skills and matches. Despite the slightly muddy pitch the afternoon was a great success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was wonderful seeing the children from both schools mixing together and having so much fun.

Liskeard Lights Up

Today Class 2 have been making willow lanterns with a guest artist from the Liskerrett Centre. We have been invited to display our lanterns and take part in the Liskeard Light Up parade on Saturday 30th November. The procession starts at the Cattle Market, Liskeard. Mrs Askew will be there to greet children and their family; we need to gather at the Cattle Market by 5pm.

Please note any children who take part will need to be supervised by their grown-up for the entirety of the event including walking the route of the procession. This is a family event and everyone is welcome.

Creative for Climate Justice

Class 3 have been working incredibly hard on their entries for Get Creative for Climate Justice Parliamentary Exhibition 2025.
Get Creative For Climate Justice asks young people to use their amazing creativity and send a loud and clear climate justice message to MPs and Government Ministers.
We have been focusing on how animals and their habitats are impacted by climate change and hope the artwork we have been doing can help to raise awareness.

Children in Need

Thank you very much for all your donations for Children in Need, we have raised a grand total of £92.75p.

The children all looked resplendent in their outfits. Well done Duloe!
